Miniature Pinscher - Chico - Small - Adult - Male - Dog
Chico is a very young 9 year old male, black and tan with cropped ears and docked tail. Chico appears to have been kept in confinement for most of his life, as his hind end is not very developed and muscular. When he first came to live with me, he was extremely afraid on a leash and appeared not to know how to walk and would spook at different terrain, such as grass, rocks and dirt. He is coming along very well. We are still working on his housebreaking. He has started using the doggie door on his own. Chico is a very very playful boy. He is loving our family environment and is a velcro dog. He loves to snuggle up with you as much as possible and sleeps under the covers in his foster mom's bed. He follows his foster mom no matter how many times she might get up. He can be very possessive of his human if you allow it, so he needs someone that is min pin savvy. He doesn't mind being in a household with other dogs, but he would love to be an only dog. We get the feeling that he has a lot of catching up to do in the "love" department. Chico is not much of a barker. He is cautious with new people until he gets to know them. It appears that he was not socialized very much in a family environment, but sure is loving it today. Chico weighs around 9 or 10 lbs, but could stand to gain a pound or two. Hopefully, his forever home will find him soon. He certainly deserves to be loved on. Don't let his age fool you, he plays with a two year old sheltie and does not have a problem keeping up with her!
